Securities Market, you can follow these steps:
Evaluate the company you want to buy or sell its
shares, you could use the assistance of NSC for more
information relating to this particular share.
Our staff is always ready to help and guide you,
either by visiting us in our head premises or contact us
through telephone, fax, e mail or through our mail box.
You should have an account at Muscat Depository and
Registration Company; when there is no code number NSC
would help you to request the MDRC to issue one for you
by filling an application form and attach a copy of your
ID card. This procedure is free of charge.
Procedures to open an account with NSC:
1. Fill an application form stating your personal data
i.e. name, address and contact numbers in addition to
filling your signature form.

A
dedicated broker will be handling your account where you
can keep him updated with your investing decision i.e.
companies name, number of shares and prices estimated to
buy or to sell.
After dedicating the shares you require to buy the
equivalent amount either by cash or a cheque to be
indorsed with company and to be considered as a down
payment till transaction(s) executed.
NSC's broker will execute the order to buy or to sell
according to the rules and regulations of MSM
Following the transaction execution an invoice will
processed showing client name, company name
sold/purchased, number of shares, prices executed at and
the total amount including the brokerage commission and
date of execution.
The settlement date is (T+3), so in case of purchase
the client settles the account once the invoice is being
delivered, in case of selling the company issues a
cheque with net amount in the name of beneficiary and
delivered on the third day from the date of the trading
day after reconciling with
The client can request a statement of shares
registered in his name from Muscat Depository and
Registration Company
Brokerage Commissions: |

Shares:
We will charge the client a commission ranging between
0.75% as a maximum limit and 0.4% as minimum limit of
the market value for each invoice for any amount from RO
1 to Ro 100,000. Where the market value is more than RO
100,000 we will charge the client 0.5% as a maximum
limit of the excess amount. This percentage includes the
broker’s commission and the Market’s commission.
Bonds: We will charge the client a commission of
0.1% of the market value for each order for any amount
from RO 1 to RO 250,000. This percentage includes the
broker’s commission and the Market’s charges. Where the
market value is more than RO 250,000 we will charge the
client 0.05% of the excess amount. |
